Hi TLS -- active attorney here looking to waive into the MA bar. It appears MA has a new requirement for obtaining such a waiver - the Massachusetts Law Component (MLC). It's a 50 question multiple choice exam, open book, online, and you can take it multiple times to pass. Doesn't appear to be too onerous but looking for some more information or anecdotes from people familiar with it.

Any idea what the "passing" score is for the MLC? Any one here take it who can chime in with their experience and approach to prep?

it’s open book. Online. You can control + F the answers. Takes maybe 2-3 hours to complete.

Great, thank you. Sounds like this doesn't even need much prep. You Ctrl + F based on that outline they give you? Or did you use something else?

I just used the outline they gave me. Honestly, nothing to stress about! Also, if needed you can retake it with no penalties I believe.
