Hi all just wondering what questions they ask bar admission applicants during the Appellate Division Committee interviews in New York?
Also how long after filing your application does it take to get an interview?
Thanks!

YMMV, but I had my interview scheduled a few weeks after I submitted my application. I'm not exactly sure of the time frame, but I submitted my bar materials in mid-November, had my interview in December, then admitted in January. If you submit your application later, it may take longer to get an interview, just because of it takes longer to review the application, then another delay in scheduling in the interview. This was also in the 2nd Department, which is one of the busier divisions.
The interview was by a practicing attorney who worked nearby. It was really more of him telling old war stories. They asked me about a couple speeding tickets, but not really in a confrontational way. More like just warning me that I should be more careful in the future, and that I'd be held to a higher ethical standard.
