no of course not. If you hit 75%+ you auto-pass.

I think he meant completion, not MBE %.

This probably isn't terribly helpful, but 75% completion on Themis is a great way to prepare yourself to pass, but definitely no guarantee. I'm sure there's a few people who fail with 75% completion but not many.

As for 90% or more completion, you're very likely to pass. Can you aim for that? If so, then I think you'll be fine. I got 100% completion and sailed through the Feb 2018 NYBX.

I'm at about 45% so I don't know how people are reaching that high.

Themis pass rate with 75% completion was 79% in CA, so there are a lot of people who fail with 75% completion. To be fair, CA has a really hard exam.

I have same the question. I’m at 72% completion now, and scoring 65-75 on MBe mixed subjects with no improvement for 2weeks, is that a fail? Scoring also the same percentage on adaptibar with 900 Qs

With those numbers you're in really good shape to pass even if you perform worse on MEE than on MBE.

1. Those are really good scores.
2. How the hell did you get so far ahead?

I started about one month earlier than the set schedule!

At Berkeley law, FWIW, Themis advertised a 98% pass rate if you completed 75%+ of the course.

Which is weird, because none of those states had 98%. Ca was 79. Pretty misleading imo.

Yeah, but Berkeley's first-time pass rate alone is 90% for the CA bar, so it makes sense that 98% of Berkeley students who also finished 75%+ of the Themis course passed.

*Disclosure: I was a Themis rep at Berkeley.

If you are hitting 75% over such a large number of questions, it's still possible you won't pass (variables such as feeling sick the day of the exam, extreme anxiety, etc. can contribute) but the odds are very much in your favor. It's highly likely you'll pass the MBE with those numbers.

yeah you're totally fine mate. Those are great scores and you're probably on track to get 100% completion. You'll be fine.

I think OP was referring to completing 75% of the Themis course, not scoring an accuracy rate of 75% on MBE PQs.

makes more sense if you are saying 98% of Cal Grads who finish 75% pass. 98% of ALL grads passing would be nothing short of a miracle.

It seems like if you're smart enough to get into a top ten law school you would sort of have to try and fail the bar.

I think that's true for certain states (e.g. NY where last year Berkeley had a 100% pass rate) but in CA, there's a 10-15% chance of failure per year.

Yeah, the CA bar exam having markedly lower pass rates than any other state means this is more of a wildcard. Even people who do well in school and get into a T14 can fail the CA bar. Hell, even the former Dean of Stanford Law School failed the CA bar exam.
