In case this gets you to stop posting your same question in any thread you can find:
You'll be okay with the December NYLE. It's late, but not the end of the world. From what I've heard, some people take so long to compile all their affidavits that you won't even be at the end of the line if you get your application materials together at the end of December.

I think you miss out on some opportunities. I was a late-swearing-in person and I missed out on taking a deposition for a pro-bono case.

Not really. I'd let your firm know about the situation, but otherwise I wouldn't worry about this. It's not a big deal.
