Because obviously this is more important than a few more hours of studying, share what you think this administration's MEE essays will be.

1. Family Law / Wills
2. Civil Procedure. Hardcore. SMJ, PJ, Venue, Removal.
3. Criminal Procedure / Evidence
4. Contracts / Agency / Secured Transactions or Commercial Paper
5. Real Property - Mortgage and Secured Transactions again
6. A random doozy - Family Law + Conflict of Laws with hearsay smorgasbord.\

My magic voodoo powers. Also after last July's shit show of that LLC question, it would be hilarious and very NCBE to double down.

If we get secured transactions I'm going to yell

I think there will be a typical UCC-9 secured transaction question as well as a secured mortgage / priority type of crap shoot. Maybe that's just because I am cold-sweating about secured interests at all times.

Hi guys, how did your MEE predictions turn out? How as the difficulty generally of this MEE? Hope it went okay...July 2017 exam taker here.

It was absolutely awful. Contracts, Trusts, Family Law, Corporations, Agency, Property.

I am genuinely starting to think I'm not capable of passing this exam. Perhaps I just shouldn't be in this profession.

Ahh :( Wow I'm surprised there was no Civ Pro. Did you feel that they tested obscure & tricky areas of the law or were pretty straight forward? I am doubting the latter.

On another note, please don't give up! I totally feel you though, I am a second time taker myself. The last time I took the bar was straight out of law school a few years ago. So I seriously have to gear up and study for July. Hey, you may have passed! And if not, I am totally down for a support group on here for anyone retaking/taking the July bar. But I really hope you passed you never know!

Thanks! I hope it went well for you!

I'm surprised no Civ Pro this time around? Usually they test it every year I thought? Well, lucky us in July (LOL.. not)! I am thinking along with Civ Pro and Con Law they may test Wills (since they did Trusts this time), Crim, and maybe Partnerships? Or maybe they will hit us with Secured Trans lol. I am typing lol but definitely not laughing more like :?

Is Commercial Paper a thing of the past?

Fortunately yes, commercial paper is a thing of the past for the MEE, but certain states still test it on their own. I was bummed with the lack of con law on the exam this time. I wasn't banking on it, but it's one of my stronger subjects so I was really hoping I could nail it. I hope I remembered enough rules to not totally bomb the essays, hopefully my MBE scores can make up for it.

My logic for MEE has been, if everyone is predicting it won't show up, it will show up. And behold, there was a corporations essay.

I took your advice in mind during the lunch break on Tuesday and reviewed corps real quick! :) I was genuinely surprised at no civ pro or con law. I expected not to see torts and evidence though and SUPER HAPPY no secured trans showed up!
