Bachelor party and bar prep

So--I am getting married in August 2017 and am trying to plan a bachelor party. I have not looked at nor thought about bar prep one bit. But I am wondering now--how much time do I need to commit to bar prep?

I figure I will study for all of June and then through July till the exam. Is that enough time? I'm thinking of having a bachelor party late May, right after graduation. It would be like 3-4 days, plus a day or so of being hungover and worthless. FWIW I'll be graduating from a T14 and going into biglaw.

Is this doable or should I find another time?

Do it after the bar and before your wedding. Great way to blow off steam and you'll actually be able to enjoy yourself. If you do it before the bar you will spend the entire time wondering "is this gonna screw me?"

Do it the weekend after you take the bar if you don't already have other grand plans. I can't think of a better celebration than a combo bachelor party/post-bar blowout.

Yeah i agree with that, but it might not work for other people's plans, since my wedding is maybe two weeks after that. I just want to know that if I am left with no option but the end of May whether that will really impact bar prep

It may, and it may not. But you wont know if it impacted your bar study until September. I would play it safer than sorry, but that's just me.

Also, you are posting this question when a majority of this board is freaking out about next week. So take this all with a grain of salt.

Congratulations by the way.
