Waive in question

I am considering applying to waive in to a second jurisdiction to expand my employment options. But I am wary about doing so because I don't like the invasive nature of the questions on the application.
One area that bothers me is that they ask about prior failures of the bar exam, of which I have several in California.
Are past failures something of which to be ashamed? Is it something that I don't want people to know about? Is it something which should prevent me from applying to other jurisdictions?
I feel a lot of shame over failing the bar, and I wondered what you would do in my shoes. Thanks.
