Self study plans for Feb 2017

It's been several years since I graduated law school, but haven't taken the bar yet due to my policy job not requiring one and Feb/July are brutal months if you lobby at both the state and federal level. Working full time, hoping to take off the two full weeks before the bar and the bar week itself. I'll be taking the UBE in DC, so hopefully they'll have their act together the go around.

I was thinking about the public interest discount with BarMax, but I've read how the app isn't currently working for a lot of people. If you have BarMax, is it currently working for you? It looks like the most comprehensive for the money, but $500 for something that isn't working doesn't sound like it would be fun to deal with.

So, I'm thinking now about a combo of BarOutlines and some other supplemental materials. I have the Emanuel MBE book but I need audio lectures. Are there better free/cheap MBE lectures than BarOutlines and PassTheBar.

Also thinking about Esqyr's essay supplement, but not sure if I want to be a guinea pig, so I might just get the Rigos MEE book instead. Since I'll basically be learning UCC and Wills/Estates for he first time, so I need lectures on these. Again, BarOutlines and PassTheBar seem like the only affordable options, but since PassTheBar is geared toward CA, I'm not sure if those lectures will be helpful or harmful for the MEE.

Debating between LeanSheets and MagicSheets/Approsheets for condensed outlines. The MagicSheets/Approsheets look more comprehensive, but their website is borderline insane with its sales pitch.

Good luck to everyone!

Slightly revised plan...

Using a combination of BarOutlines.com and PassTheBar.com for substantive review of the topics in the morning before work (thankfully my office opens at 10am). The BarOutlines lectures are very dry, but the overall program has a good skeletal form and their boring lectures will be helpful on the CA-specific stuff I'll have to ignore on PassTheBar.

In the evening after work I'm using a combo of an older Emanuel (4th ed, no Civ Pro) and the latest Finz Method (w/Civ Pro) books for drilling MBE questions and then use the BarOutlines questions if/when I exhaust the books. For essays, I'll be using Gallagher's Scoring High on Bar Essays as supplement for BarOutlines and PassTheBar.

Speaking of the Finz Method, if you download the Kindle preview, you can read the entire method section for free. I found it rather helpful.

Civ Pro seems like such a crap shoot right now and there doesn't appear to be a reliable 80/20 approach to it. Any ideas on how best to approach it for the MBE?

Just deleted Facebook from phone and tablet. Game on!

I am using adaptibar for the MBE, have you considered trying it? I feel the Civ Pro questions are great practice and very helpful as well as the explanations.

I am also using Adaptibar (The questions seem great and the app is pretty convenient) for MBE questions, as well as videos from PassTheBar, free outlines from BarOutlines and the mini outlines from Themis.

I am having a hard time to find essay questions though.

There are over 100 essay questions and released answers from the state bar, at least in CA. If you're in a different jdx, look to your state bar's website.

NCBE has the essays and analysis for the 2007-2011 MEE exams for free. The more recent exams are $15-20/each.
