I took and passed a bar exam this past July, but need to take one in a neighboring state this February (I missed being able to transfer my UBE score over by 2 points.) I only have to sit for the essays this time around, so I'm wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and, if so, what advice you might have as far as studying goes. I'm taking an essay-only bar prep class through my law school, and I still have study materials from this past July, but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as far as strategies go in this type of situation.

I have a job, so I'm going to have to squeeze in studying in the evenings and on the weekends. I'm hoping I can make it work without becoming too overwhelmed. I'd appreciate any advice you might have.

I'm in the same boat: essay only this time and working full time.

I went with Themis (again--used it for July), for a little extra boost, if any. And my school does a short essay workshop every week that I'll attend in January.

My study plan is similar. I'm going to study for about an hour before work, then about 2 hours in the evening, and probably 8-10 on Saturday/Sunday.

I think the biggest hurdle will be reteaching myself/refreshing the full MEE subjects. So that will be using old flash cards and shortened outlines.

So far I've studied contracts, agency, and partnerships, and I'm finding the information is still in my head, but a little dusty.

I think the key will be studying early. Themis' study schedule for the entire course (MBE and Essays) starts December 19. Starting before that will definitely help.

I'm thinking of getting an MEE course book from Amazon, for some extra tips and practice, too. I never want to have to take this exam again...
