Choosing a jurisdiction to x-fer my score

Post by BillCooper » Tue Sep 20, 2016 11:35 am

I live west of the Rockies. I failed my jurisdiction's score, but scored high enough to x-fer to others and get license.

I am retaking in my jurisdiction this Feb. My question: Which jurisdiction should I x-fer my score to? I was thinking NM, but people are telling me to do NY because it looks better on a resume. Is there any truth to this? I never plan on going east of the Rockies again. How will NY help me?

Thoughts?

Since you want to work/live in your Jx, as evideneced by retaking the exam in February, I think you should transfer to the closest Jx to your home Jx. That seems to make the most sense since you aren't planning on moving.

For example, neighboring states. States within a few hundred miles.
