Apparently NCBE sent a memo to law school deans.
The memo reported the welcome, but surprising, news that the national mean score on the MBE was higher in July 2016 than in July 2015. Last year, the national mean was just 139.9. This year, it’s 140.3.
The states that have released information thus far suggest a decline in passing %, but this does not appear to hold true for all jurisdictions. Given how difficult some of the MBE questions were and how poorly Barbri prepared its students for the Con Law and CivPro sections, I am pleasantly surprised. I anticipate a generous boost to raw scores. (Maybe July 2016 is benefiting from previous bar takers having to tackle experimental CivPro questions without the benefit of study/practice?)

In any case, good job all on stopping the downward trend. Way to hold the door. Holdtadoor. Holdor. Hodor!
