I know, I know, too many threads. Sorry!

Anyways.

Anyone have advice on how to go about eating tomorrow morning while stressing and feeling nauseous and anxious about the exam? Gotta get down a hearty breakfast to be successful, but this morning it was nearly impossible.

Any tips??

Eat a bagel (or two) with a glass of juice or a cup of coffee. Don't eat anything that will make you feel tired like pancakes. And don't eat something weird like an omelet. Eat as little as possible.

Stop stressing about everything. If you're too anxious tomorrow morning to eat a big breakfast, then don't eat a big breakfast. Eat something manageable in the morning and then eat more at lunch.

Had an idea to take an Excedrin Migraine.

I always take a tylenol before an exam.

I want caffeine, but coffee makes me piss like crazy. Sooo.... 65mg of caffeine (in the excedrin) after a small cup of coffee in the morning with breakfast should be pretty perfect.

Here's an even better idea: don't do things that you haven't been doing while practicing/studying. If you haven't been taking Execedrin Migraines before practice exams, don't start on the day of the frickin' exam.

+1

I've been neurotic about getting my body used to certain foods, etc., so my brain can be prepared for tomorrow!

Perhaps I was too blunt for your tastes, but I posted in the spirit of helpfulness. And I don't think my advice was "ignorant." Far from it.

Eat fruit or something light. Maybe even a power bar. I would second sticking to what you've been doing while studying. No reason to throw your body a curveball.

I'm going to eat two boiled eggs and a banana. Maybe a fruit and nut bar if I can stomach it? Doubt it though, I don't have much of an appetite in the mornings.

I would say something light and healthy

banana, apple, oatmeal, Lara Bars (my favorite)

something that an sustain you, but nothing that will make you feel super heavy.

I agree, I could see how the advice could come off wrong, given the stress of the exam....however, all things being equal its a risk to start doing something you haven't been used to doing because you're not exactly sure how it will affect you.

I would go with the coffee, because you know how that works and just resolve to take a pee break if you need one. If you're drinking all the coffee at once, at best you would only need one pee break, right? I know it seems like you just can't spare those 5 minutes, but IMO, it seems better than taking a risk that the Excederin has some sort of negative effect on you.

Or perhaps you've taken Excedrin Migrane in the past and you know exactly how its going to work out.

Lousy La Quinta bagel toasted with peanut butter.

Fiber one bar.

No time for Dunkin--can of diet mountain dew on the drive over.

Served me well for Part 1. However-- I didn't caffeine up over the break and was literally falling asleep during part 2 of the mbe.

Next day- Same and diet mountain dew and 2-3 fiber one bars over break. Got through the essays like a champ!

I'd screw coffee altogether and just go for the dew or energy drinks. No bathroom breaks.

This morning I went with 3 pieces of bacon, 3 breakfast sausage links, 2 glasses of orange juice, 3 cups of coffee, cheesy hash browns, and a 3 egg omelet with cheese, green peppers, onions, sausage, ham, bacon, and black olives.

Everyone should just do that.

I understand not wanting to eat due to nerves. I forced myself to choke down a couple of scrambled eggs, a slice of bacon, half an orange, and a glass of oj. I felt great all day.

But seriously...cheesy hash browns are the best when done right
