Anyone know where I could find a character/impeachment mini-outline? If not, I'll make one from scratch, but figured this would save time!

FM: Foundation must be laid (eg congront witness before using extrinsic evidence) & the issue must be Material

10B- over 10 yrs, subject to balance
B- Balance

~ES= no extrinisc evidence for bad acts

Char evidence

General exception to everything: specific acts that are independatly relevent :MIMIC (motive, intent, mistake, Identiy, Common plan)


Civil: never unless 1. sex crime 2. char at issue (defamation, custody)

Crim abt D:

*D must open door unless 1. sex crime 2. D brings up Vs character 3.

*pertinent trait only
*D:RO (direct: rep, opinion)
*C:ROS (cross: rep, opinion, specific act)

Crim abt V:
*D must open door unless 1. self defense claim
*pertenent trait only
*DRO
*CROS

Rape shield

Crim: never unless specific acts to 1. show prior consent 2.show 3P source

Civ: ROS if prob val >>> Prej ; R only if V opens door
