I seem to be getting every Barbri answer wrong. I don't get it. I'm confused.
Does anyone have some advice on how they've improved at property MBE and essays?

IIRC, Barbri has some of the funkiest ass property questions.
There was some weird ass question they would ask with all these directions to determine if a deed was good enough or whatever.
I just figured I would miss all of those on the mbe....except there were none, because apparently this is a question style Barbri pulled from their ass....or it hasn't been on either of the last two MBE's.
If you have access to real MBE property questions (Emmanuels/AdaptiBar) you may get a more accurate reflection.
As for the essays, are there specific concepts that are getting you down? Are you getting any of it at all?

I've been crying for half an hour about the effing real property BarBri questions. I've sent in questions about half of them. I'm profoundly frustrated, and the BarBri workshop/strategy lectures are essentially telling us that the reason we can't get property is because we are just too bored and whiney, which is unhelpful and condescending not to mention false. I'm really upset about how this is going as well and am obviously mostly venting now but I'd also appreciate any advice.

also very frustrated with Barbri's questions. I'm getting less than 50% correct on the MPQs, but for what its worth, i have a 70% average in real property on Adaptibar (incase you were interested in looking into Adaptibar) - so I'm hoping Barbri is less representative (mostly because, at least for me, it is nearly impossible for me to even read some of those questions in 1.8 minutes let alone answer them)

This is helpful! I have Adaptibar but have been holding off using it for new subjects because I'm terrified of failing on them and circling into a death spiral. My plan was to dive in deep after the 4th, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that I find more success on the Adaptibar questions.

I've been using Adaptibar to identify the subtopics that I'm weak in. It actually makes me feel better. For example, now I know that I'm not horrible at property generally. I just need to review some subtopics like mortgages. I hope you find success with Adaptibar!
(If anyone else is considering Adaptibar, there's a free trial. I also have a $50 discount. Just PM me with your email address and I can send you the code)

Thanks. I did alright on the simulated MBE, so I'm guessing Barbri is just messing with us by giving us crazy hard practice questions.
As for the essays, I definitely need to brush up on landlord-tenant law. I just fear if I take time to do that, I'll get behind with everything else...

I know, I know, but the good thing about landlord/tenant is that it also has application in torts....two birds....one stone
I'm convinced that there is someone in Barbri just dreaming up assholey property questions that will never come up on the bar exam.
I remember specifically thinking to myself that if I saw some of those questions on the bar exam I was just going to choose B and move it along.
I think if you did good on the simulated MBE you're probably in a good place! Good luck!
