Lean Sheets?

Anyone have any experience with Lean Sheets, particularly the New York ones? (
http://www.leansheets.com/new-york-bar-exam-outlines/) Are they worth the $40?
I'm particularly interested in the MEE, non-MBE subjects--I don't think I have enough time to outline those. Alternatively, are there any resources out there for good outlines and/or flashcards for these subjects (agency, wills, trusts, secured transactions, etc.)?

I got them. I find them quite useful, they are very lean though so you would have to have a basic understanding to find them useful.

I had them for Texas. I was not a fan.
BTW, at least last summer you could get them for 25 if you liked their FB page.

Someone posted this link earlier - it's to the Stanford Law website. At the bottom, there are similar condensed outlines on various subjects. I have been using these and they seem helpful, not to mention free...

I just checked out those Stanford outlines, and they are REALLY old. I looked up the person who made them and they graduated in
2006. It looks like they haven't been updated since. I didn't read through all of them, but the first one I opened was Civ Pro, and it had a bunch of stuff that is really outdated. I guess that's why it's free. I'd be afraid to rely on material that is so old. Plus, the MBE is testing the new 2015 FRCP amendments for the first time this July.
I also bought Lean Sheets, and I think they're great so far. They are pretty lean, but I guess that's the point. If you have a decent foundation, they are an excellent tool to review all of the major material. In addition to the outlines, they also provide charts that help organize the evidence rules really well. Plus they were updated for the July 2016 exam, including the recent civ pro amendments, which is obviously important.
I used a 15% discount code, so it came to about $33. They also have flashcards, but I didn't need those. The url for the coupon code is

what new FRCP are they testing in July beyond the amendment to 26(b) and 37(e)?

Lean sheets are good for making numbered lists. I adore numbered lists for a rule or an issue.
But I don't know that I would find them helpful for actually understanding the law.

I used Lean Sheets and it didn't work for me. I believe in making your own outlines and actually understanding the material than just looking at someone else's outlines and memorizing rules.

I had lean sheets when I studied for the bar. I found them incredibly helpful for the final week or two. I would read through the Barbri lecture handouts several times (which I typed up into my own outlines) and then commit the lean sheets to memory. Then I just used the CMR as a reference guide for anything I didn't understand or wanted clarification on. Never touched the big outlines.

I 100% agree with this. I bought Lean Sheets a few weeks ago and have been relying on them almost exclusively for review. I occasionally flip to my longer outlines or conviser if I need a little more explanation of something, but Lean Sheets cover almost everything and they present it very efficiently. Very clutch this close to the exam.

Lean sheets useful as a way to just review all the big picture topics this weekend? Are they for the most part accurate?

I got them for my state's bar and so far they've been alright. I'd be careful with relying just on the lean sheets because I found a few mistakes there. It didn't matter to me that there were typos as long as the law was on point but there were typos that made the law wrong, like putting down "breaching party" instead of "non-breaching party" in the rule (if I recall correctly). Also, some of the rules were inconsistent with what Barbri's handouts had, and had a few places where the rules were missing some info. But, overall, they seem to track the Barbri rules, and use almost the same language.

I think that's the point. They cover the main points and elements/rules to get an good overview of all the topics. As long as you have a decent foundation of knowledge re: a topic, lean sheets are awesome for the big picture review especially this close to the exam. Some people spend $40 on lean sheets and then expect it to replace a $4k bar prep course. I think they are a great supplement for review, but a supplement nonetheless.

I completely agree that lean sheets is only a bit more than a check list. You must learn the concepts elsewhere and also add some missing rules. It's also a bit outdated and it has a few annoying mistakes.
I'm using them for MEE subjects. Not even touching them for the MBE.

I looked them over. They might be helpful for reviewing for essays. But they are bare bones and overall likely hurt more than they help, given that they are very incomplete.

Yeah, I was gonna say they seems pretty complete to me as far as the mbe goes. Maybe they don't include everything, but everything important is in there for the most part. I guess it just depends on what you are using them for. If you are trying to learn the law for the first time, then obviously going to want something more comprehensive. But, hopefully at this point in the game people have a decent grasp on the law, esp the mbe topics!
I feel like I am done reviewing anyways. Probably going to skim them over one more time tonight and then shut it down tomorrow and recharge.

Not a fan either. They're heavy on the short hand and I found that distracting.
