Does the scantron only pick up #2 pencils? My friend noticed she was using a #3 pencil at the start of the PM session. What the hell is a #3 pencil?!
Anyways - anyone know? She said the circles were lighter than #2 pencils

Lol wtf. I know when I was younger we had to use #2 pencils or it wouldn't read. I don't know if scantron technology has advanced but I would be tripping out if I were your friend. Such a stupid situation lol

I did all but 6 of the AMP, at least the ones assigned to me as homework. I found it useful for some fields of law but not others. Sometimes they used terminology not covered in the lectures or even in the comprehensive outlines that they linked to. Sometimes they used minority rules also not covered in the lectures. I generally like adaptive learning techniques, but I thought AMP was poorly executed. I ended up not really remembering the rules because of strange wordings and because the repetition wasn't always verbatim with the rule. Overall, though, I don't think it affected my MBE performance much either way.

#3 just means harder lead, which will lead to noticeably lighter marks. I usually see pencils at office supply stores ranging from 1 to 4, along the scale of #1, #2, #2.5, #3, and #4, in order of hardness. The harder the lead, the lighter the mark. If darkness matters, I'd wonder why they don't just require #1 for everything. Maybe that makes it harder to erase.

For what it's worth, I experimented with this in high school using all of the above lead types on official Scantron® machines, and all of them scanned 100% as marked. I wouldn't worry about #3 here. The #2 requirement is probably just some CYA measure.

Seriously. They try and pressure us into a $100 mini review after bombarding us with trick questions just a couple weeks out from the exam, and then they make us pay 1/3 of our book deposit in shipping.

I'm tempted to just publicly give the books away out of spite.

just reading on reddit how there was someone who got caught cheating with cell phone at the white plains center. i know this particular person got caught, but makes me wonder if there are other people who got away with cheating--especially given how many bathroom runs people were making. how unfair!!!! not cool!!

Nyle is a joke. Don't study, just control f the whole exam. There is more than enough time to look up every answer
