Or do the graders see our names or passport photos (Arizona requires a passport sized photo to send in to them after we complete our app)? Mainly wondering because I have a passport photo and look really casual in it. If the graders are going to be looking at it though I want to get a new one looking more clean cut etc

Yes, the Arizona bar asks you to send in the photo so that the graders can adjust your essay score upward or downward based on your physical appearance.

Bar grading is completely anonymous; however, you should update your passport photo to a less stoner looking photo for numerous reasons, none of which concern the bar exam.

ha no just needed a haircut in it and look really casual. Got slightly paranoid because if our photos were attached to our exams then personal biases of graders can always come into play especially with subjectivity that can be applied to essay grading

This would favor hot female exam takers much more than their male colleagues.

It's a waste of money to get a cute picture for the bar exam. No one cares.

Huh.

The photo is so when you show up on exam day, they can confirm its you. They match the passport photo to the id to your face.
