I've never posted before. But here is an unfounded theory; the survey emails are a test of the BOLE email systems. They need to verify that they can send the results out without a glitch. So, they send the survey to verify.

The last 4-5 years has been earlier and earlier. They made sure to send out the surveys last week. I am not saying It's for sure tonight, but holding a 65%+ chance seems reasonable.sublime wrote:I don't know if it is or isn't, but you guys are setting yourself up for disappointment.

I think the better theory is that they are holding results until they get a sufficient number of survey responses. They know we wont do the survey if we already have results.NYC2016 wrote:I've never posted before. But here is an unfounded theory; the survey emails are a test of the BOLE email systems. I agree. I think the second email was a "reminder" email to get people to take the survey.LionelHutzJD wrote:I think the better theory is that they are holding results until they get a sufficient number of survey responses. I had a feeling last night was the night. Clearly, I was wrong. I have no feelings regarding tonight, but this will be the last night I wait up for results.

Better theory is that a survey is probably more accurate if people respond prior to receiving results. There's an inherent bias in completing an exam survey after knowing whether you passed or failed and/or knowing your score.LionelHutzJD wrote:I think the better theory is that they are holding results until they get a sufficient number of survey responses. To add more juice to my theory (and yours as well I guess) is that the survey was apparently a directive from the Court of Appeals.Obama2016 wrote:Better theory is that a survey is probably more accurate if people respond prior to receiving results. Like the bias against them and this whole process for treating us like crap and refusing to let us know when they're releasing the scores?Obama2016 wrote:Better theory is that a survey is probably more accurate if people respond prior to receiving results. Re: NY July 2016 Thread
Is NY the only state that doesn't give a date for results, or is that common? It's absolutely amazing to me that we look to be on track to receive results like one week before California, which had a full extra day of essays.

NY is not an only state that doesn't give an exact date.

But we didn't get scores last night either. Your argument is invalid.lawyer2000 wrote:Nylj didn't update stories until after 11 last nightrkreymer wrote:There's nothing in NYLJ.... doubt tonight is the night

Nylj could update before 12 and provide an announcement then. My point is that it means nothing that nylj hasn't announced yet because they haven't updated their stories yet. An announcement could be coming with the update. You probably had a long day.ArtistOfManliness wrote:But we didn't get scores last night either. "Our records indicate that you have already passed the New York State Bar Examination and been certified to the Appellate Division for admission. Therefore, it is not necessary for you to transfer your UBE Score from another jurisdiction. You must use the New York State Bar Examination to apply to the Appellate Division that you were certified to for your admission."
I wonder if that would actually happen...
