Forgetting Jobs

I remember all of my real jobs. But the summer I turned 18 I had two minimum wage jobs. I can't remember when I quit one and started the other. I also can't remember if I had 1 job when I was 19 or 2. Do people call the IRS for these details? How do I find out this information? How do the bar examiners find out this information? Maybe I should try their way?

Put your best guess and if there is an easy way to remember (like asking your parents) try it.

If not, call the office and ask what will happen if you miss a job or have the dates wrong and what they suggest. Maybe it's not a big deal to them.

In Texas, they send a release form with a form to verify the information. Usually the contact is HR or your past supervisor. My start/quit dates were always approximate so I just put the 1st of the month in the month I quit. I've had employers that were no longer in business. In that situation I gave the contact info for a past supervisor. So I think if you put approximate dates and maybe explain its approximate to the best of your memory, it's probably ok. I've passed C&F in 2 jurisdictions with no major problems other than getting in contact with people. If you are super worried, just contact wherever you worked. I'm sure they can find out for you.

On the MA application, I put my approximate dates of employment.

I am old (34) so it was a long list. I could not remember the exact dates of where I worked in the 1990s and even some of my post college jobs. It was comical because some stores I worked at do not even exist anymore. It wasn't a big deal at all on my application as they never followed up. I would just make it clear the dates were approximate. I don't think they care too much about retail jobs.

MA doesn't seem too intense about this though.

Thanks a lot! They told me just to guess. Which seems to be the credited response here after trying to contact the business.
