how easy is the UBE?

I'm taking the NY Bar this July and working full time, so I don't have all the time in the world to study. I know plenty of people have passed bar exams while working full time, so I'm not THAT worried, but I'm curious just exactly how much easier getting a 266 on the UBE is than other bar exams such as the previous New York exam.

I think it will be easier in the sense that there are no longer state distinctions that have to be learned. That was such a pain!

It's going to be a difficult exam, though. The model answers to previous exams indicate what kind of analysis the NCBE is expecting on the essays and it's kind of daunting. But study as many of the released exams as you can--the actual sources are always the best material to learn from.

After taking the UBE, and seeing your nuanced state essays, I would gander that the UBE may be easier. BUT, do not underestimate the UBE, it has left a trail of dead bodies (and I may be one of the bodies).
