NY 1st department -- driving records?

Does anyone know: if the 1st department asks for an applicant's driving abstract, that's just like a general driving record, right? If an applicant had a drivers license from one state and then, a few years back, changed it to a second state, does she also have to get the records from the first state, or just the current state? Thanks in advance

I am in the midst of applying to the 2nd Department, and they asked me for this. I asked if they wanted my driver's license from the state where I resided prior to moving to NY. She asked me how long I have lived here, and when I said, "I have lived at my current address for 3 years, but I have lived in NY...." she cut me off and said, "Oh, then just the NY driving abstract will be fine."
They did, however, ask for a statement from me detailing every moving violation I have ever received. Note: I am an older attorney, so my driving history is quite long, and my statement indicates that it is my best recollection, and any omissions are unintentional.
I asked if this needed to be notarized, and was told that this was not necessary. However, given my prior issues with "lost documents" and claims of misunderstanding, etc., and given that I was asked to submit another notarized (unrelated)document at the same time, I got both statements notarized.
BTW, I passed the Feb. Bar, submitted application in July. Got a call for the extra stuff at the end of August, submitted it a week ago. And now the person that I have been dealing with is mysteriously not answering her phone.
