It's a struggle not letting self doubt creep in and convince me that I failed (again)! As time goes on I keep focusing on the negatives. I wasn't as devastated as I was walking out of this exam as I was in July but it's so hard to assess your performance. I definitely struggled with at least one essay and am starting to wonder about all the issues I may have missed. Everyone keeps telling me not to worry because I failed by such a small margin in July but I also studied less this time.

I know there's nothing that can be done now but it doesn't prevent me from obsessing! Why does Texas take so long?!!

Which state is the first to report February bar exam results? I seem to remember that North Carolina is always one of the first states to report, then many other states release around the same time, and then there are some states that lag longer.

Is the wait time shorter for February results compared to July results?

Good luck to everyone who took the exam! .

It really doesn't take too long for February. We get our results in late April, lots of states have to wait until May.

Starting my July bar review next week. Hopefully it will not be needed.

I'll believe I passed when I see my name on the list.
Until then I'll have confidence that I did better than July and that's about it. That last week before results are posted will most likely be one filled with restless nights. Again.

Have some confidence!

Even if you did fail, right now is much too early to start studying for July

Same here. Failing humbled me and the only thing I can say when people ask me how I did is that I feel I did better than July. I would be surprised if I didn't do better. But to assume I passed? No way.

is anyone planning on studying before they get their results just in case ? if so, how early is reasonable to start?

Im just going to focus all of my efforts on making money until results day. That way, I will be able to pay for the license fee if I pass, and pay for study materials if I fail.

I don't think it would be productive studying...and I think it's bad luck! Give yourself a well deserved break and put the time in again if and when you need to.

Well personally, I do find that I need the extra time to study. Which is why I am starting next week.

I'm not a great writer. During the Feb exam (California), I caught myself trying to figure out how to word certain phrases and concepts. This took up precious time. I need the essays to flow right after I finish my outline. So my goal is to write every single essay question in the Bar Breaker book by Jeff Adachi. I will be focusing on that exclusively for 2 months until Mid May. Then I will resume with my MBE study and PT study.

I am not saying that starting this early is good for everybody...but unfortunately, I am in a unique situation compared to most exam takers.

I remember you were performing well on all of the practice stuff leading up to the exam.

I have a lot of faith that you passed this time, bud. I know you don't want to hear that, but that is my gut-feeling.

Burn out is a very real thing. I failed in July and I truly think it was due to excessive studying. I felt 100X better at every phase of my Feb bar prep and exam because I made sure that I didn't overdo it. Give yourself a break because if you worked smart/hard this time around, your body needs it.

My body is still recovering from bar prep and the bar... Two+ weeks later. Granted, that's probably cause I had to go back to my full time job the day after the bar, but it's still recovery mode for me. I also felt better during my prep and during the exam (AM MBE kinda felt awful though), so I'm just hoping I can be done with this for good. Fingers crossed for everyone in here... Sending positive vibes your way!

I completely agree. In July, I fell into the trap of doing everything bar exam. This time, I took a lot of breaks and did things I enjoy. I felt much less mentally exhausted during the exam. I took a very different approach to studying the second time overall so hopefully that helped!

For those of you that have taken it in the past, what websites did you find informative to scratch the itch while you wait?

I ended up going to the past pass lists and searching for my exam number. The past 4 exam, that person has passed! Hopefully my number stays lucky.

I'd also love some insight as to why UH TX pass rates were so freaking low last February. Haven't been able to find that anywhere.

I have developed an unusual eye twitch every time someone brings up the bar or I think about my results. I am clearly handling this waiting like a pro.

UH as in Houston?

Pass rates are generally lower in February. I don't know why, because February has more repeaters. I'd think repeaters are more likely to pass just from having done it already.
