Yes Barbri, I owned the bar!! Ok, maybe just leased but one never knows about these things! Lol

So without revealing any specific information that would be considered a violation of the rules against disclosure, here is my take on the essay portion of the exam:

The morning essays were straight forward and all had expected topics except for Wills...that essay had a repeat issue--the one we heard was the big surprise topic on the July exam. Honestly? I didn't know they did things like that! But, fortunately, (for me anyway) there was so much talk about it after the exam that when I saw it, I actually knew what it was and felt pretty good about that essay. (Thank you essay question author!) The rest were no real surprise. Not easy, of course, but no unheard of topics like there were in the past two exams.

For the afternoon essays, I felt the Corp essay topic was a bit unexpected (considering bar coaches and Barbri lecturers predicted it would be on agency) It's a good thing I flipped through the Barbri essay book at lunch and brushed up on that very issue!! The PR essay was almost a gimme, but Secured Transactions, Property, Torts/Civ Pro and DE were straight forward. Overall, I thought the afternoon essays were a little more difficult than the morning session, but truly, only about as difficult as anyone could expect. Does anyone feel differently?

Anyway, having said that, I'm cautiously hopeful about my results. Unless I really start to think about it... Trying very hard not to do that in order to stay positive!! Speaking of positivity, I wish the very best of luck to all my fellow bar takers--I hope the rumors that we will not receive our results until April 4th is wrong, and we will find out in the usual three weeks!!

What does DE stand for?

I agree, the morning essays seemed much more simple than the afternoon. I'm stressing because I know I came down on the wrong side of the law on at least three of my answers :roll: Certainly less crazy than July was. I feel I have a chance. Good luck to everyone!

DE = Decedent's Estates

Did the property question really come down to a chain of title issue? Does someone with title for 30 years take free of any infirmities?

Did the corporations person have standing since the loan was not due until the next year?

Was the Secured Transactions a consignment issue?
