CONGRATS CONGRATS CONGRATS!!!! So happy for you.. I still have to wait.. Is there anything you can tell me that might help ease my nerves.. Like feelings after the mbe, string of letter(s), essay thoughts???? I cant take this torture!!
I vaguely remember the MBE. I remember having lots of time to spare in the morning and rushing in the afternoon. I also remember having lots of D's not sure if it was in the morning or afternoon session.
For the essays-- I literally had about 3 sentences for the corporations question because I had no clue at all what it was about. I also missed an issue or two on the crim question.

Congrats!!!! That is awesome news! I'm on the verge of throwing up at any given moment. And I'm obsessively checking the mail...
So happy for you!
Thank you! I also felt like throwing up. I could've died when I saw the mailman across the street haha. GOOD LUCK!

Did not pass by a landslide but passed. Much empathy to those that didn't make it this time. I know it sucks, but you can definitely bounce back. This stupid exam is not a reflection on anything other than retaining enough of the nuances to clear the hurdle. I studied for three months this second time. Worked full time both times but only took off two weeks this time.

Thanks. I also have a friend that failed again (and this was his third time). My MBE score was every low and I still passed (127). I don't know if that helps or hurts but I can say that I did not feel very confident at all about the essays. I remember talking and reading about them after and getting even more nervous because I really did mess up at least a few essays (one bench memo and the secured transactions one). My essay scores were much better this time around and I actually felt worse about them (and felt generally terrible afterwards about all of it). I've been shaking nonstop for the last few days so I can relate to your anxiety.
The best comfort I can give is to say that it really is not a reflection on you or your ability to practice law if you fail. It's just a test. The entire way this test is conducted needs to be overhauled. In short, you probably passed, but even if you didn't anyone with a brain and a conscience knows that the test is just a ridiculous experience that has no relationship to your true abilities. Hang in there. Sending good vibes your way.

My mbe was low, too - 133 (up nearly 2 points from July, though). The essays were my savior. Brought them up 10 points! If people fail, stay strong and don't give up. Heard work pays off!!!

Yeah the stats are horrid!!! I have too many trips planned including my 30th to Costa Rica.. I am not gonna let this exam have my summer so I am going to take it in Feb 2017. I have to remember there is more tho life than this exam. I have a great job at the biggest law firm in the SE so I am grateful that the partners are as understanding as they are and I don't have that pressure. I did miss out on a promotion though with a 20k increase in salary and a bigger office with a window..lol.. that sucks but there is nothing I can do about it.
I am soooo HAPPY for everyone who passed!!! Truly I am!!!

Hello to everyone- i have been stalking this forum for quite some time and i just needed to write a little something for those who received bad news today or over the weekend and to give some input as to what i did and how i see that the exam has changed. My first bar exam was in Florida in 2012 and i passed with flying colors with about 30 points to spare. I owed it to my law school and i see that their program has worked as i saw their stats for this year (FL) and they were just as bad as Mass (in the 50s) yet my school managed to pass 75% of those who took it in Feb. I took the Mass in Feb and followed the same routine i did for FL 4 yrs ago. I did Barbri mainly- we had coaches (our professors or fellow students) that tested us every week with an about 50 MC question and one essay every week. I studied the 2 full months - but i would wake up at 9am and study until 12pm- with a few breaks here and there. I know this is difficult for some parents or those who have full time jobs but this has worked for me twice now. I then supplemented by studies with Kaplan- i just bought the MBE questions book and toward the last month to expose myself to different kinds of questions. Studying for the Mass bar for this Feb was a bit different because i was doing it on my own (no coaches as i did for FL), however i followed the same routine. For example i never took Secured transactions so i did my own outline and read EVERY essay so i could at least write down the rule stmt if it came down to it... I tested myself on the weekends and I actually did more questions than Barbri recommended because it didnt feel like enough (from what i recalled i did 4 yrs ago). I switched over to Mass toward the last 6 weeks and lessen my MBE. I also bought the MBE mock exam from NCBE study guide and took this 2 weeks prior to the exam as my law school had told me to do so...i didnt feel as confident this time around but i went over each wrong questions and worked on what i was weak on (Con law ugh). This time, i did not pass with many points to spare, only by 8. The stats for this years are horrible and when i left Mass i felt like i failed..i did not feel as confident as four years ago so that is just a reminder that this test has def become harder. To those who did not pass please please do not be discouraged - believe me as a practicing attorney this exam has nothing to do with what we do on a daily basis nor does it measure your intelligence. Good luck everyone!

cant be sad. I know what I bring to the table and I am sure everyone else in my situation has a lot to offer and tons of positive things going. This is a minor setback for a MAJOR comeback.. not the end of the world and I stay true to believing that everything happens when it is supposed to
I will update later when I receive my score... until then EVERYONE who passed celebrate like you have never before..You all deserve it!!! and everyone who has to go another round, like me, remember it aint about getting knocked down.. it is about getting back up. you ONLY fail by staying down..LETS DO THIS!!!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
