NY Essay practice - BARBRI practice essay book or Past NY exam essays

Please suggest if Barbri essay practice book or past NY essays in the bole website are helpful for the essay portion of the exam.

Reason I don't want to spend money on Barbri books :D

They are basically the same thing, either will do. But Barbri has way more model answers. They give you about 60-100 model essay answers that I suspect barbri administrators did themselves. Then they have another section of their essay book with 2 released answers from takers for each essay. So 2 released answers for each of about 100 more essay (added to the 60-100 model answers), that makes about 200 released essay answers, and 60-100 model essay answers...

The essays go about 10-12 years back, probably more I forgot. The book is about 3-4 inches thick
