Why do that to perfectly good fucking rum and punch?!brotherdarkness wrote:Celebrating is not bragging you neanderthal.joejoe wrote:insert that to anything else in life.......sex for example........maybe you are right.......but I wouldn't recommend bragging about it.

Oh, you just finished spending the last 10 weeks studying inane common law principles, immediately after finishing law school, and you want to celebrate finishing? Kids these days...joejoe wrote:meh, I forget the k-jd mentality some times

Re: POST Bar Exam Fun
I'm getting the hell out of dodge (Albany ugh) on Wednesday right after the exam and headed to Boston to see friends.
I plan on spending a few days with them, maybe travel into the mountains in New Hampshire and make the most of the weather, and then fly back to the UK Sunday night.
I fully expect to be drunk from Thursday until Sunday.

You're not making any sense and haven't added anything to your argument. People that probably failed especially need to take some time off before they gear up again. I think you're confusing celebrating and rehabilitation.joejoe wrote:meh, I forget the k-jd mentality some times

Immediately: Finishing the deck I was trying to build between finals and graduation (if not for a monsoon for all of May).
Two weeks later: Flying to Seattle, buying a car to replace my wife's old car, and road-tripping home.
ETA: Jesus... what happened to this thread while I was replying to it/replying to emails!

I know, right?
Conversation 1: General conversation about when to start looking at cars and what to look at. (Fall)
Conversation 2: Figuring out what to do for a bar road trip.
[pricing 1-way rental for two weeks]
Conversation 3: "So, what if we buy our new car for the road trip?"

Going to Europe to visit the family. I figure putting a few thousand miles between myself and the bar exam will be good for me.

I started watching WWII HD on Netflix. Gonna finish it today and tomorrow maybe I'm gonna restart the old tv show Lost and start outlining all the events in that show. Not ready to see the sunshine yet.

I'm shy of turning 31. I get where you're coming from. And so far my post-bar fun has included alcohol and magazines. That trend is likely to continue until I jump on a plane on the 11th where I'll head to a magical land of Italian wine and continue to drink. I may need to plan a stay in a drunk tank before I start work in September.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
