Statistically, what is the likelihood of repeat essay topics from successive exams? [CA?]

For example, CA had a defamation question in Feb. What are the chances that it repeats? Historically, has this been common? I don't think it has, which means, statistically, it may make sense to not focus (for essay purposes) on topics that were just tested the examination prior (except PR and ultra-narrow topics like Community Property, Agency, and Partnership).

Thoughts?

It's happened, but not often (Products liability comes to mind). I wouldn't ignore a topic based on past stuff, but you could definitely focus more on others...

Don't want to shoot yourself in the foot. Beat the CBX by knowing the materials, not by trying to outsmart it ;)
