I'm gonna play 1 hand of blackjack for 2,500 dollars. I'm so gonna do that. Driving down to the local casino with 3k right after the exam.

You would actually enjoy that? I love an adrenaline kick, fly a prop plane, jump off of something, cool. But putting serious money on a hand of blackjack would just make me nervous for 30 seconds and then pissed off for a couple weeks.

My uncle is taking me out for dinner/drinks. Later in the week I'll go out with my friends.
Other than that, I am going to do whatever I feel like doing.

To each his own, but I'm not sure thats the way you wanna celebrate since it could put a damper on your celebration real fast.

Odds are pretty close to 50/50 to win 1 hand at least, going for 2 wins! I'm gonna be so high after the exam, winning would only get me higher, and losing would affect very little of my mood.
Plan is to ride 2 hands. I'm gonna be counting of cards of course. Not seriously counting cards, I'll put the bet down when I see ton of small cards out. Not gonna try to stick around getting a accurate true count. Hopefully I'll walk away with 10k rather than lose 2.5k.

I won't leave my apartment for a good 48 hours, probably not even my bed for much of that either. Cry some as well. Try to eat a good meal since my appetite has basically disappeared. And then ... play the waiting game. I'll pack my study materials and put them in my storage unit. Last July I tossed basically everything - not this time!

I'm going to sleep for a day, and then try to find some kind of job for the next 8 weeks until my bar results come out.

I'm just excited to resume the rest of my life since the bar was a side project for me because I'm a glutton for punishment. Friday I'm back on the road and off to LA, playing poker full time. Never thought I'd miss it so much, I'm in serious withdrawal.
It seems so close, yet so, so far away.
Luckily once I'm missing this torture, I still have the MPRE to look forward to in August!

Heh I used to do this all the time after losing poker sessions as an "emotional freeroll." Put everything I lost in the session on one hand of BJ thinking well the difference emotionally between losing X and 2X is minimal, but the feeling of being unstuck is so so worth the slight edge you give up to the house.
Pretty sure I never really stuck to one hand only and lost a bunch of money that way

I'm going on a weekend ski trip. I would take more time off, but unfortunately, I already used all of my annual vacation time for bar prep.

Gonna drink a cheap bottle of scotch on a linoleum floor. In my undies.

Making my friends go out on Wednesday night so I can get hammered. Thursday I'm taking off of work, sleeping in, and then getting a mani-pedi and maybe a haircut. Back to work Friday, though I'm actually looking forward to it because I love my job and have been really stressed out about getting backlogged.
And will probably drink and sleep a lot this weekend. It will be glorious.

I know, I know, think positive, BUT, I all but knew I failed last time around, and still opted not to study. Imagine if I had done just one hour per day afterwards the test (maybe given myself a break of several weeks) until I really kicked it in to gear in January. Think about it... one hour from September to the end of Dec is 120 hours. 120 hours is a lot of time to go over BLL and commit to memory.
I have such regrets about not doing that, you have no idea.
After this test, I'll give myself a week, and since Feb-->May is relatively close, I'm going to commit to at least 2 hours every weeknight and 6 hours every weekend until results come out. I'm not going to get dull by forgetting all this law till May and then struggle to catch up and re-memorize, especially if my work gives me another chance to retake.
I know it seems very draconian and self-defeating, but I need to pull out all the stops for July.

You will forget the law anyway and be burned out. I'm thinking about doing another bar in July but if I did, I would not even start until mid-June.

You might be right, but I did not start really studying until January and I definitely forgot most of the law from July.
I think a couple hours a day just recalling BLL (no essays until post-bar results) and maybe 1 PT on each weekend (perhaps 2?) is hopefully not going to burn me out. When it's post-May 15, and if I did not pass, I can jump straight into essays/PTs + MBEs for literally 2 months.
Good, right?!

I'm confused, is there a state that gives the bar in May?

CA results come out in May. So I guess theoretically that's the point when you either know you passed and can stop studying, or know you failed and need to keep studying. But...really, studying from now until May is just asking for total burnout.
