Top Law Schools

Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone had any information about writing the bar as a graduate from a Canadian Law School. I am wondering if this is even possible. I am particularly interested in Illinois, Georgia or Michigan. Does anyone have any resources/information on how I can go about doing this?

New York and Massachusetts for sure allow for it

I know some states require Canadian grads to take 1L year in the US before they can sit for the bar in that state, so you will probably be best off checking out the websites for the individual state bar associations (or just call them and ask).

Checkout the manual " Bar Admissions Requirements 2014" - Google it. That would get you info on your eligibility.

I am am Indian attorney intending to take the CA Bar. CA allow foreign attorneys take the bar subject to good standing and moral character without further US Legal education. Check out for you, once you get hold of this booklet.
