In Indiana, what sounded like a hard rock band began playing during the afternoon essay session. It was incredibly distracting-- everyone began requesting more ear plugs. It didn't look like any of the test administrators did anything to attempt to make it stop.

I realize I'm cranky because ExamSoft is awful and this day has no end, but does anyone else think it's ridiculous that the test administrators didn't at least check what other people have booked the convention center for on a day when silence is pretty much necessary? For the amount of money they're charging, I'm sure they could have preemptively booked the adjacent hall and prevented this madness.

The music probably wouldn't have bothered me too much, but my concentration would be destroyed if I looked up and saw some law school geek with 15 ear plugs of assorted pastel colors overflowing from his ears

Apparently it was a sound check at White River State Park, except that it continued for 4 hours. My buddy said it started slow and progressed into what he thought was Pitbull and David Guetta music.


So ridiculous, and kinda funny because I was not there.

Normally I'm not bothered or easily distracted by music, but the percussion was just incredibly loud, and it wouldn't stop. I was panicking on essays 4-6, which is when it was loudest.
