Thank goodness, passed!
I thought the MBE was harder than expected, but only because Barbri kept saying the real thing was easier than their tests. I felt confident with about 75-80% of my answers on the MBE. MBE is 40%, VA essays 60%.AJS30 wrote:Congrats everyone! May I ask how you all felt about the MBE? Also, what % does the MBE count for in VA?
I am waiting for NY and as each day goes by feel less confident that I passed.

Overall yearly percentages are here: http://barexam.virginia.gov/bar/barstats.html
The first time pass rate was pretty standard, but over-all (first and second time takers combined) was down. Proud of my school's pass rate!

Congrats to all test takers!
I passed as well!
Not sure what the hell happened to my school (GMUSL) - first timer rate dropped by ~20% since last year! I hope Themis outpaced the overall rates again!

Specifically for the VA bar exam takers - Is it a good idea to waive into DC immediately, esp if you don't have a job lined up yet? I heard the process takes a while.

Re: Virginia Bar Exam 14
If you have the money for the application fees and are looking for jobs that require you to be admitted in DC, then I don't see why you wouldn't want to get the process started. If you have already sworn in before the Supreme Court of Virginia, you should be able to apply now. If you haven't though, you will have to wait until after your swearing in ceremony. I'm pretty sure you need a certificate of good standing from the SCV as part of your application for DC, and you can't get that until after you have done your swearing in.lsatextreme wrote:Specifically for the VA bar exam takers - Is it a good idea to waive into DC immediately, esp if you don't have a job lined up yet? Congrats to everyone who passed.
Anyone use Themis this year and willing to share a little bit more about how prepared they felt? I saw lsatextreme mention Themis, but not in detail. Any more comments would be appreciated.
