First ever post on here. Just wondering, what everyone is doing for review this weekend? I am just reviewing the big topics and maybe some of the little ones, but at this point I don't think reviewing those will be worth it.

Here are my scores from Barbri practice and NCBE #3

Mock Barbri MBE- 108/200
Half Day Mock- 65/100
NCBE MBE #3- 156 (I did it really half assed, didn't really read as well as I should have)
Barbri Mixed set #2 34/50

Going to do the mixed set #3 tomorrow. Most of the essays I've gotten graded were 5, 5.5, or 6. Haven't really looked at MPT's. Most of the essays I am doing now I hit a decent amount of issues. Any advice how I should finish this off? Should I be feeling good going into the exam?

Probably worth while to do one MPT. It's free points if you can really crush it. By crush it, I mean write a competent memo. I'm sticking to the paced program. Have to believe it's a bit overkill but I'm OK with that. Taking the day before the exam off.

Is anyone else having a hard time focusing at this point? I am also continuing to follow the paced program. Blah!

I created my own schedule for the last week--basically did 2-3 subjects a day with the more frequently tested being towards the end.


I can study for a good 5hrs before I get very very bored because I basically am trying to memorize the smaller details I dont have down. But like someone above said, I'm taking the day before the exam off and doing f*** all.

I literally cannot do any more than a few hours scattered through the day at this point.

Tuesday cannot come fast enough right now

Ya I'm having a complete meltdown in terms of productivity. Just did the two Barbri essays, and don't think I spotted the issues well.

That being said, I think this is normal. Everyone just wants it to be done.

Gotta be better than basically 20% on test day to pass the bar. Hopefully you're in the 80%

It's like a switch flipped for me late this week. I'm so distractible right now. Just hoping to get a decent review of the remaining subjects I haven't gotten to over the rest of today and tomorrow.

Amen. I am really going to be pushing this minimum competency thing to the limit.

Amen. I am really going to be pushing this minimum competency thing to the limit.

I read some crim pro essays today, decided that "Yeah I understand some of these words" and then quit.

I saw an essay recently on baressays.com where the grader literally just wrote in "I R A C" in the margins of the applicant's paper. When all else fails -- IRAC that sucker.

What calms me down is telling myself that the chances of those random weird things I haven't memorized are small and it's unlikely that I'll be tested on every single thing I don't know.

And if I don't know what to say, I'm going to make something up anyway. The issue should be easy enough to spot. Then if I don't know the rule I'm going to make something up that sounds legit, apply the analysis, and reach some conclusion.

Keep calm and IRAC on.

Yep. If you don't know a rule or the law for a random subject, make it up. My goal in studying for essays is that I need to know the subject well enough to make up a coherent rule.
