How Many MBE Questions Prior to Bar Exam

just curious how many MBE questions everyone will have completed prior to taking the bar exam, including any simulated or final mbe exams. These can be mbe questions, bar review simulations of mbe questions, or other mbe style questions. Might be useful after the bar to come back and note how many practice exam questions were done and then your score on the actual mbe portion of your state's bar exam

I have done 600-700. I plan on doing 1200 by bar time. I have reviewed all answers but 200.

i guess i should have foreseen all of the type-a's on TLS so it shouldn't surprise me but im definitely impressed at how many questions people have done. i thought the amount of completed questions would be much lower. gj TLSers

Doing many practice MBE questions has been the general consensus for this exam. Even the Stanford guy who advocates that it takes 100 hours to study for the CA Bar did 960.

2100+? That seems...excessive

It really isn't though: If you do the midterm + final + additional, that's 600 questions right there. Let's say you did 30 questions per day every weekday since mid-June, that's another 900. That's 1500 right there from doing a pretty minimal amount of practice questions. Make it 50 questions every weekday since mid-June, and you're looking at 1500 + 600 = 2100.

TBF, anyone who has done 1000+ probably did not spend a lot of time on the essays and PT, or just read over them and "issue spotted." Just saying so no one freaks out at someone doing 2100+ questions.

I think 2100+ is overkill and the benefit of a few extra questions at that point is marginal (diminished returns). I also do not understand how you can review all of your questions if you take 2100 MBEs.
However, 1000-1500 is quite normal. If you do the practice exams, you have 600. If you do like 30 a days from July 4- to July 30, you have like another 800.

Yeah this sounds about right and it wasn't that bad (although I also started way earlier than mid-June so it was spaced out a bit more and even easier than that.) I've done 2100+ questions, but Themis seems to ask a lot of NCBE questions and I finished all of their questions and the other source I purchased was a Barmax bank of NCBE questions which I did around 250 of. I probably did less because of the repeats. Definitely diminishing returns, there seems to be a bit of overlap between the two banks so it's gotten to the point where I recognize specific freaking questions. So umm, don't arbitrarily aim for 2100+, there are only so many NCBE questions out there anyways.

I did the midterm and final so there's 400. I've also done about 850 other questions so far. I've gone days without doing any and then had days where all I did was 100 MBE questions. I did 30 tonight at a bar while watching baseball.
I find doing and reviewing MBE questions to be one of the most helpful and easiest study methods.

I haven't done as many of the optional ones as most people.... but I have done the (Kaplan) diagnostic (150), midterm (200), final (200), additional exam (200), and then about 400 on my own. Before voting I forgot to include the checkpoint quizzes for the MBE subjects which I am guessing is about another 195.
I am planning on doing a shit ton between today (only did 50, but also reviewed a bunch on other stuff) and the Monday before.
So I clicked the 1500 range, but I may be more than that if I don't procrastinate and stick to the plan I have in my head.

^ I didn't count the diagnostic or checkpoint quizzes. I guess I might break 2k.

I didn't count the CPQs either. I realized I am on pace to land over 2100. I've done 1300 QBank + 400 for the two tests = 1700. 50 per day til Sunday = 350 + 200 for the additional test = 2250

I did about 700 so far (although it takes me longer to do questions for a physical disability accommodation) and I feel confident. I score about the same which is above passing every time I do questions. Focusing on essays now.

These last few days I have been doing really well on MBEs. I usually do 50 question sets and have been scoring 42-46/50 on the last few. The questions seem easier and are clicking pretty quickly. I'm actually getting pumped about this damn thing.

wow, you guys make me feel like a slacker. I will have probably completed ~900 by the time the bar arrives - is that considered seriously delinquent?
