Dear all, I'm taking MA bar with Barbri, long story short, we just finished the second day of Contract lecture today. So far I'm pretty satisfied with all the professors for the other subjects covered. However, the Contract professor really didn't do it for me (I won't name him here), in the video, he walked away from the microphone constantly which made it hard to hear him, he digressed from his notes, he wasn't clear about the answers to his hypos. I was hugely frustrated throughout the entire thing.

For all other subjects covered so far, I've been studying from the lecture notes, but I'm not sure the Contract lecture notes will do it for me. Do you guys think I can study from the CMR instead? Thanks.

Yes, just use the CMR. You will be fine. No reason to panic. Alternatively you could get ahold of someone else's filled-in lecture handout.

To be fair, I do love his damn accent.

Epstein is the reason why I will always remember the rule from Hadley v. Baxendale. In his contracts casebook, Making and Doing Deals, he mentioned that Hadley V. Baxendale is also the name of an actor who starred in the porn classic "Behind the Green Door." I have never seen such an outrageous cultural allusion in any of my casebooks throughout my law school career.

I'm about 98% through w/ my outline from his lecture, I can still hear his accent when reading the notes, lol

In a breach of contract action, consequential damages are limited to those damages that were reasonably foreseeable by the breaching party at the time the contract was made.

No looking on my part, I swear. If only I could remember all these fucking rules about third party beneficiaries.

I don't know how you can be any clearer about your hypos than with lego demonstrations.

The Sharon Stone hypos are the only things I remember from any of the lecture videos. Ks has been my best subject, and that man and Sharon Stone are the reason why.

I agree, I thought Epstein gave really clear examples and his mnemonic has easily stuck with me to be really useful on Contracts essays, which is really unusual. Mostly, the BLL lectures don't end up providing much help with how to approach the essays, but the Contracts essays are the only ones I always score way above passing on because I just go through every step of his mnemonic and never miss an issue to discuss. Even the Essay Writing Approach Videos for the other topics have not been so helpful and I get lost easily on essays for topics like Evidence. If anyone has a good mnemonic for Evidence to be sure to cover every possible issue, I'd be grateful...
