Re: University of Texas 1L Taking Questions
Quick things:
- It's OCI right now so if you don't hear back w/ answers in a timely fashion that's why.
- Some of you have emailed your mentors already to ask about outlines. Chill. Give yourself about a month to get into the swing of things and then start pestering them. Also, don't treat those things as sacred or your gateway to an A. It's all about you.
- Be excited if you aren't already. This is cool shit.
- Spend some time before classes start thinking about your goals and visualizing what success in law school means to you. Think every day about what it will look like/feel like when you've accomplished the goals you set out to achieve. That process + a positive attitude + actual legitimate hard work is 1) not too difficult and 2) the real key to success. You won't find your real answers in a supplement.
- I speak for myself, and likely a few others, when I say that we are happy to meet you IRL and answer your questions and provide advice.

The best outline is the one you create and know inside and out.cannibal ox wrote:I already hate law students.romanticegotist wrote:- Some of you have emailed your mentors already to ask about outlines. Also appreciated, and best of luck at OCI! I know it is OCI and am excited and hope it goes well for you all!
BTW, I haven't asked for outlines. I just sent my first email to my mentor. I may have used too many exclamation points, so I think I have the excitement thing down!

Bumping because I know just enough to know my answer to any questions now would be: I totally can't help you right now, but also the Monterrey College of Law was higher than this post.
