I applied fairly late and was awarded a scholarship in the range you mentioned. However, the rule of thumb is earlier is better. Median LSAT for class of 2012 is 156 and median GPA is 3.49. I was at the 75th for LSAT and 25th for GPA. I'm not an expert on what #s you need for a given scholarship. Although I know others who have scholarships, we don't talk specifics. The best I could say is that if you have median GPA + 75th LSAT (which is 159 for our class), then you will most likely get the $$ you want.lawgunner75 wrote:Hi WMCL 1L! Thanks for taking questions. I am applying to WMCL just as soon as my LSAT score hits. What can you tell me about scholarship money? Any idea what kind of numbers you need to get a 50% - 85% scholarship? And I presume it helps to apply as early as possible? Any tidbits would be helpful. I will definitely be going to WMCL next fall unless I get in to the U, and even then, I may take scholarship $$$ over rank. Thank you!!!

Go away. William Mitchell has the largest alumni base in Minnesota; it's only real competition comes from the U, and when it comes to Minnesota placement WM does just as well. All but one of MN's supreme court justices graduated from WM, it's the most popular school for government positions in criminal law, and about 40% of Twin Cities biglaw is composed of WM graduates. You'll have better luck applying the TTT stereotype in regions where the USNWR magazine actually matters.MTal wrote:Let us know if you still feel this way when you graduate.ohnowtf wrote: I have no regrets picking WMCL.
Does your small penis size cause you to poke fun of those in lower law schools?MTal wrote:Let us know if you still feel this way when you graduate.ohnowtf wrote: I have no regrets picking WMCL.

Sent application late in Jan. Took the Dec LSAT and didn't do as well as I needed to. I was almost going to wait until this cycle to retake and apply, but figured I would sit for the Feb test and send out some apps. I requested they wait until receiving my Feb score to make a decision. Got my acceptance and reward letters a week after the Feb scores posted.lawgunner75 wrote:Okay....still wondering how late in the process you applied? Meaning, March/April? How late? Thanks original poster for answering my questions. I appreciate it.
How immature are you? Seriously, dude, grow up.MTal wrote:Let us know if you still feel this way when you graduate.ohnowtf wrote: I have no regrets picking WMCL.
...ask the current state Attorney General.MTal wrote:Let us know if you still feel this way when you graduate.ohnowtf wrote: I have no regrets picking WMCL.

Tier 3 or not, WM places well within its city. Students who have the ability to place high in the ranks should have a bright and lucrative future in law ahead of them.
...Unlike you, who clearly didn't possess the ineffable it. I'm sorry your first choice career didn't work out for you. Enjoy your sloppy-second job choice.
Cheers.
