I am accepted to FAMU School of Law and I need the advice from out-of-state students about having found housing at the first semester. I come from New York. Thanks

I never moved to another state so I don't know what to do with my personal belongings and where to stay initially. Do you know whether does the school provide the housing? Since I don't what to do with my personal belongings.

Accreditation is going to be in June and they say it is likely we would get otherwise they would not have students. I am worried about my housing any ideas how to make it. I am fom Brooklyn where you live in NY?

long island. where did u go for undergrad?

ill be moving down to FL with my girl probably in july. her mom lives just outside orlando (longwood) and theres a lot of great apartment complexes in the area so im not too worried about living arrangements.

how are you going to support yourself during law school? loans? family assistance? girlfriend who will support you?

it shouldnt be too hard to find an apartment. my girls mom lives in a really nice apartment complex in longwood. its 2 bedroom with a community pool, gym, etc and she only pays $900/month. that is INSANELY cheap compared to brooklyn and long island rent!!

take a trip down to orlando this summer and explore the suburbs just outside orlando (longwood, winter park, altamonte springs, maitland, etc). plenty of apartment complexes with vacancies.

I got my first degree outside U.S. I have some savings, would rely loans initially, then maybe find some job to support myself, i am by myself. If I would go down there and find place I don't know how to move my staff, i have no car, i have some heavy staff like computer, conditioner. I don't know i never moved from one state to another.

Anyway I would love to find an apartment right by the school (walking distance) because I wouldn't have a car until October. Anyway anything downtown at a decent price?

I don't believe you.

Is this a TLS-er's alter ego, I wonder.

Hi Guys! I'm Mariana, I'm 21 and from Brazil . I'm going to be in Orlando from august to december as an exchange student at FAMU College of Law. I'm looking for a place to stay somewhere close to the University. I would like to share a house/apt with some other students. If you have any informations about that please contact me! my email is marianasenna_@hotmail.com . THANKS!! :)

I'm surprised this thread isn't filled with "death is a better option than attending FAMU Law" type posts. My how TLS has changed

I've found it educational. Had no idea it was located in Orlando. Still uncertain as to why, but that's probably a tertiary concern about it.
