Re: Cornell 1L taking questions
My question, to the now 3L+ crowd, is the following: How much of a hit am I going to take when I don't make law review? I.e., my GPA is in range for Prestigious, Stuffy, and Bland, LLP, but I'm not on Law Review. Does that mean I won't get a callback despite my GPA?

Useless without gpa range.Arbiter213 wrote:My question, to the now 3L+ crowd, is the following: How much of a hit am I going to take when I don't make law review? Re: Cornell 1L taking questions
So this is going to come off as an incredibly douchy question. I apologize in advance, but this is the cornell central thread and there isn't really anywhere else to ask it. Does anyone know how you find out if you were the one who CALIed a class?

They email you. Rachlinski gives out a lot of A+s though, I wouldn't get my hopes up. I know of at least 3 others who got an A+ in that class.transfer2014 wrote:So this is going to come off as an incredibly douchy question. It means you might not get a call back at some firms/clerkships/etc., yeah. Not a big deal though, you'll be good.Arbiter213 wrote:Say somewhere in the top 20% of the class.ajaxconstructions wrote:Useless without gpa range.Arbiter213 wrote:My question, to the now 3L+ crowd, is the following: How much of a hit am I going to take when I don't make law review? Re: Cornell 1L taking questions
Probably a pretty tough sell for any sort of clerkship (but I imagine that's not what you're hoping for). Some firms will look down on it, but you should be good provided you don't get screwed over with bidding (which is possible and happens, but isn't particularly likely). You should be good.ajaxconstructions wrote:

Re: Cornell 1L taking questions
Yeah I don't care about clerkships. Bidding I'm not worried about since I'm bidding mostly firms where I'm above the average GPA.woeisme wrote:Probably a pretty tough sell for any sort of clerkship (but I imagine that's not what you're hoping for). I have no idea how any of this bidding/firm stuff works. I hope I'm not the only person trying to learn the system in a summer.

Can anyone recommend cheap, nearby places to park a car? I was looking around CL, is the general rate around $50/month?
