If I apply to law school Fall 2024, and take LSAT by Oct 2024, will LSAT still be requirement?

Have read countless articles that the ABA is moving to make the LSAT optional in 2025. Articles state this wont go into affect until 2025, they all say.

So does this mean if I take the LSAT prior say October 2024, that there will still be many schools that require LSAT as a crucial part of their admissions requirements and will not overlook it in 2024? Its only 2025 it becomes optional?

Impossible to say. Look what's happened in the last 2 weeks. The schools are doing what they please with the LSAT, obviously leaning to make it count for less. And when some top schools announce a change then it's a big rush for the others to imitate that change.
