What's the LEAST busy year for law students? (1L, 2L, 3L)

I'm asking for a reason that I can't explain on a public forum lol.

Usually 3L.

If you don't have a job for when you graduate, 3L might be busy, but otherwise, usually 3L.

Yeah, 3L was probably my busiest year, but I didn't do biglaw so didn't have a permanent job lined up by 3L. It was absolutely all self-inflicted.

I'm sure you've heard by now the old cliche that they scare you to death as a 1L, they work you to death as a 2L, and they bore you to death as a 3L.

For me, 2L or 3L year. I didn't do journal so they were both equally chill. Also has a job lined up. If I didn't have either of these things, then all bets would be off.

Yeah, I think 3l would definitely be the right time to have that baby. After you've got a job lined up, but before you have to start working insane hours

Not planning on popping out any babies, but I'll definitely keep that in mind

For me, in order of most to least busy it was:

2L, 3L, 1L

FWIW I am pi-focused, didn't do a firm, and did a lot of clinical/pro bono work. Absent that, 3L probably could have been a breeze.
