Top Law Schools

I know this is a controversial practice, but I would like to get my hands on some supplemental materials to familiarize myself with basic fundamentals prior to beginning school in August. I'll be studying Louisiana Civil Law. I was wondering if there exists something along the lines of Glannon's guides or E & E's but strictly for civil law, or do the common law supplementals work just as well?

P.S. I have read most of Getting to Maybe, but being that I don't know most of the terms I feel like its not that useful at this point.
