I live year-round in State A for school. I spent 10 weeks this summer living in State B for my summer associateship, where I earned almost all of my income this year. Am I considered a resident of State A who also earned money in State B, or a resident of both states?

I believe you will just need to file a non resident/part year return for that state and a resident one for your home state. You'll pay the taxes in the state it was earned and will be a credit in your home state. You can double check if I'm right by reading the instructions to the returns I mentioned. They are usually pretty straightforward.
