2.75 Law School Grad what are my chances of a job period.

I have a ton of debt and a 2.75 GPA. What are my chances at success? I graduate in Jan and take the Feb. IL. Bar. I am planning my wedding (well my fiancee is, she's a trooper), for May (it is either going to be the best summer ever or I will be crying on my wedding day because I
failed the bar exam.) Anyway. Any ideas? Is there any hope for me? Should I try to go government? Or strike out on my own (God, I don't want to do that.)

Apply to everything and anything and hope for the best.
Note: government jobs are more selective than that.

Crap, I was afraid of that, thanks.
I have been on a few interviews, thanks to some people I knew who graduated this year and passed the bar, but nothing concrete has come through. I have also applied to some HR jobs, because I have taken a ton of employment law classes, but they all want MHRM's. Anybody have any experience in HR?

At this point networking matters most. Go to bar events. Tap your network if any. Meet with alumni, etc. etc.

Which school did you graduate from ? Find some of your classmates and plan to open your own firm. That would be a good route but networking is the best way finding a job. Check with your school's career service office.
