Northwestern's curve for required 1L classes is about a 3.3, but classes with 40 or fewer students in them have no curve. This means that people really pad their GPAs during 2L and 3L. It is kind of deceptive though, because if you take more doctrinal courses (which are, for the most part, curved), your GPA won't get the same boost as someone who takes all seminars.arklaw13 wrote:Doesn't northwestern give A+s out like candy?
Inflation...rate?LawMan9000 wrote:I always thought Cornell's inflation rate was a bit higher than Northwestern?
I have to disagree. 40% of the class gets a B. Seems like our curve is on par with most of the T-14.White Dwarf wrote:Columbia is the only school I know anything about, and it's pretty bloated. Only a couple professors give grades below a B, and only if you screw up badly.
Dang. I think GULC is 3.33 or thereaboutsacr wrote:WUSTL has pretty high grade inflation
Our median is like 3.55
I'd bet the median at graduation is even higher because of all the transfers. Cum laude (top 1/3) is like 3.56-ish.Glasseyes wrote:Dang. I think GULC is 3.33 or thereaboutsacr wrote:WUSTL has pretty high grade inflation

I wish Trump would buy our school so we could build a wall to keep out all the transfersBmoreOrLess wrote:I'd bet the median at graduation is even higher because of all the transfers.Glasseyes wrote:Dang. I think GULC is 3.33 or thereaboutsacr wrote:WUSTL has pretty high grade inflation
