Grade inflation is not that helpful since class rank is much easier to compare across schools.

Columbia is the only school I know anything about, and it's pretty bloated. Only a couple professors give grades below a B, and only if you screw up badly.

Doesn't northwestern give A+s out like candy?

Northwestern's curve for required 1L classes is about a 3.3, but classes with 40 or fewer students in them have no curve. This means that people really pad their GPAs during 2L and 3L. It is kind of deceptive though, because if you take more doctrinal courses (which are, for the most part, curved), your GPA won't get the same boost as someone who takes all seminars.

I have to disagree. 40% of the class gets a B. Seems like our curve is on par with most of the T-14.

Just look to what Coif is at each school. At NU it's above a 3.9.

I'd bet the median at graduation is even higher because of all the transfers. Cum laude (top 1/3) is like 3.56-ish.

I wish Trump would buy our school so we could build a wall to keep out all the transfers

Would going to a certain school increase ones chances in getting a job in the public interest or the government?
