I got my grades back - A+, A-, A-, B. What are my chances at paid work this summer as a GSU student?

Blatant disrespect, the guy/girl goes to Georgia state University in Atlanta, GA.

Sorry OP, no clue to the answer to your question though.

I'm guessing they are about the same as if your GPA was a 3.8. Or a 3.4 for that matter.

Apply, apply, apply, apply, and apply and see what happens

Hm, on that note I have a few questions. I've been applying to a lot of places so far, but do you have any tips for where to apply? I've mainly been using Symplicity. Should I apply for everything or only realistically what I want to do? Are there ways to get grants for unpaid internships?

Thanks!

I'd say everything (prioritizing what you want to do first of course) but what you're applying to is a personal decision. Don't apply to stuff you know you would never want to do I guess?

Lots of schools have funding for unpaid internships, definitely check with your school on that

No problem BBT, people like that are the reason I literally hate TLS sometimes, but people that honestly try to help are why I look here for help.

It was a fair question, I don't know how anyone would know what that is unless they're from Georgia

(for some reason I read it in my mind as GWU, as in George Washington University. I've never heard of GSU either)

It's more about the tone and choice of words. They could have easily just said, "sorry, I'm not familiar with that school, where and what is it". Or they could do a very simple thing and type in GSU. It's not like we are talking about a middle school in the middle of Iowa.

Also, I'm not from Georgia but know of the school. Either way, I don't want to ruin OP's thread. Nothing against you Zuck.

You're well above median. Very nice start.

Make sure to ask your career services about the Atlanta Bar Minority and Diversity Clerkship fair. That's probably your best opportunity for a paid gig as a 1L.
