Yes, too old, but the problem is not really your age per se -- it's your ~3 years of WE. Biglaw likes to train its people from scratch and not deal with the bad habits built by experience working in other professional settings. If you've ideally sat at home since college playing video games or at least did non-professional labor, you should be fine.

No. Actually, I don’t remember anyone ever having asked my age (doubt if it’s even permitted). Your age wouldn’t be revealed until after you filled out the HR employment paperwork....by then you already have the job.

You'll never make big law partner no matter how old you were when you graduated law school. Which is fine because you probably won't want to make partner anyway.

It is pretty easy to determine ones age. Look at their resume and see when they graduated from undergrad. As a 27 year old who will graduate law school at 28, I have brought shame upon generations of my family, and face the unenviable decision between seppuku or living an honorless life facing exile from civilized society. My name will not be mentionable in polite company. My siblings are tormented by their peers. My parents are spat upon when they dare show their faces in public. All in all, I will be erased from the memories of all who knew me.
I can't imagine the torture inflicted on those who would dare go to law school at 40!!!!
