I am currently a junior going into my spring semester. I am planning on going to law school after i complete my undergraduate in economics. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me on what to do this coming up summer.. Should i get a business internship or is there something else that would be of greater benefit to me? I live in Nashville, TN and I hope to attend Belmont Law school and study music and entertainment law.

Step 1: Get a business internship this summer
Step 2: Use that internship to help you get a FT job after college
Step 3: Don't apply to law school.

It does not matter what you do for your undergrad summer for law school admissions. What matters is that you aim higher than Belmont. If you must stay in TN, then max out LSAT and try to get Vanderbilt with a substantial scholarship.

Have you taken the LSAT already? If not, I would prioritize studying for the LSAT over getting a business internship.

If you're coming straight from undergrad, no matter what kind of internships you've had, the most important parts of your application will be your GPA and LSAT score. Maximize those above all else, and target schools with better employment opportunities.
