This includes advice on:
1) how to write a really lazy note, and in general really not do anything over the bare minimum for cite checking.
2) How to lazily skirt through the semester classes, and in general the most chill classes to take, and what not to take.

For our journal to get writing credit we just needed a teacher to sign off after we wrote it. I mailed in the note but I could have put a coloring book in front of my teacher and she still would have signed it. If your journal operates like that just pick a good teacher that also doesn't care. As for class just pick ones with profs that have been around for a bit, that way you can skip / not pay attention and just grab an old outline late in the game. Also make sure you don't take classes with teachers that have strict attendence policies.

quit all student organizations
avoid seminars with extensive writing requirements
take classes with extensive outlines available
leave town often

Eh most people should do Journal unless you have an offer to return from a firm you summered with as a 1L in hand. If you're not on LR though you can more than likely just sorta coast through it.

FWIW, I'm in a language class atm and it's difficult as fuck. That said, I like it more than all my othe law courses and am actually enjoying it, but it's not easy at all if you want to actually make some inroads.

If I wanted to pay money in order to be lazy, I'd go to an all-inclusive resort.

How much effort do you need to get Stone (or generally top 1/3) 2L year?
Is the move just seminars and classes loaded with 3L's and LLM's? Or is that way off?

None. It's about top half for 2L, maybe easier. If you make an outline, you've probably studied more than most of your peers.

Maybe so. My mentality is that I am paying money and foregoing income to attend school, therefore I would like to learn and get something out of it. It is also curious to me that people assume that after letting themselves coast during 2L and 3L years, they will inherently have the stamina to work unforgiving biglaw hours.

Do a JD/MBA so your law school grades and experience really mean very little. Learn what you want and take golf and PE classes. Beer Pong lots.
