OF COURSE softs/relevant WE matter. More than GPA? probably not.
FWIW, i know a below median at t20 who got v20 corporate. She was at big 4 for 6+ years before law school.

For corporate, at least, they matter a great deal. GPA is still king, of course, but K-JDs get dung a bit, and folks with meaningful experience in finance or accounting get a boost.
