Where Do You Do Must of Your Studying?

Post by Herky Jerky Slo Mo » Tue May 05, 2015 3:39 am

Visited two law schools so far and have seen how they have these 24/hour law libraries, where there are personalized study cubicles for individual law students scattered throughout the buildings. My first thought was: cool. Must be nice to have your own study space privately reserved for you alone.

But then upon closer inspection, I saw how cramped and tightly packed those cubicles were to each other and how students were literally a few inches away from their neighbors studying. ....I wondered if that ever got annoying or became distracting.

Anyhow, just curious where you guys study and find to be the best place(s)? Pros/cons?

Do you guys actually prefer those law library cubicles? Funny enough I saw a couple of students sleeping in their cubicle area and some eating full blown meals with stacks of books next to them and their own coffee maker. haha. Kind of like a live-in space for them.

edit: I can't type tonight...title should be *most*

Two T-25's so far. Going to check out maybe four more this summer (also in the T-25's).

Not 24 hours though. None that I know of at least. That's the downside.

I study at home (when I actually want to get stuff done) or in lounge areas at school (when I'm happy to be interrupted by friends).

Cubicles are flame. It's not enough tablespace.
UG is flame bc you'll end up resenting the kids around you for one reason or another, or even for no good reason at all.
Classrooms are flame bc you either feel like the world's loneliest dork studying in a massive room by yourself or there'll be too many people in there and you're fucked either way if you like them, or you don't.

1L I had all my books and shit all the time and I preferred the large library tables tucked away behind the stacks. 2L I preferred the carrels, except when assembling exam materials. 3L, well that was 3L.
